SEP 12.1 RU1 MP1 Agent Cloning+ClonePrepTool+Removing GUID

Good Morning,

Several Windows 2008 R2 servers were cloned without previously running the ClonePrepTool to remove the unique GUID form the machine.  Therefore, within SEPM, you see the agents with issues as they will appear as several different servers.  I was wondering if this approach will resolve this issue:

1) On the machines with conflicting GUIDS, run the ClonePrepTool, removing the agents GUID

2) Restarting the agent server

Would this work, or would I have to completely unstill (CleanWipe Utility) and reinstall the agent via .exe installer?

Or, does anyone have a better/faster way?  Maybe not having to reboot the servers?  Thanks.
