ICMP availability

Hi we are currently monitoring ICMP availability(Agentless) of servers with our Altiris Monitoring solution V 7.1 SP2.

we have servers with multiple IP addresses in our environment and due to that we are receiving false alerts in this category.i.e.ping fail alert for one IP address but the actual server state is UP with a different IP address.

is there a way to resolve this issue?
