SEP 12.1.4013.4013 client computers automatically being rebooted every few days

I need a solution

Ever since upgrading to SEP Small Business Edition version SEP 12.1.4013.4013, our client computers have been restarting every few days,  This includes computers which are used as servers, which is causing problems for us as we need the servers to be available 24/7 except for scheduled reboots.

For example, we have a group set up in SEPM that contains four computers,  3 of them restarted within a minute of each other on January 24th.

Earlier versions of SEP did not reboot our computers.

An employee of ours spoke to technical support and was told that this is a feature of 12.1.4013.4013 and cannot be turned off as virus update installations now require reboots?  They said our only option was to change a registry value to turn it off, but that it would still reboot after two requests anyways:

The below instructions can be tried out

Open the registry of the system(regedit in run command)

search for a key "rebootrequired"(through edit--. find)

Delete the key

if you have already delayed the reboot more than twice,it will reboot irrespective of the deletion of key

Can this be correct?  If so, it is an awful change and will likely end in us needing to find different anti virus software.  I mean seriously, rebooting clients whenever it wants to?  Are you kidding?

Does anyone know if there are any options to stop this from happening but to remain protected?
