Backup Exec 2010, jobs running for too long

Hi all,

We are currently using ML6000 for backups, and it is taking longer then expected. For example we had 3 sets of tape.. A001, A002, A003, A004, A005 all the way to A027, then followed by B sets and C sets.

So every time we change the backup sets, we erase them and run a full backup on it. For the past backup history, a full backup takes a maximum time of 55 hrs and a minimum time of 50hrs.

My question is, do i have to sort them ascending order before inserting them into the tape library to speed up the backup process?

It has been running for 67 hrs and counting ever since we did not sort them ascending order before inserting the tapes in.
