Today figuratively starts and literally ends with a bang. Don’t miss the speakers, sessions and the star of tonight’s Power On party, percussion by Toom Pak.
Keynote Review and Preview
Today saw the continuation on the theme of convergence, with keynote presentations from Symantec's new CEO, Steve Bennett, providing a very open view of Symantec's future. Following on, SVP of the Storage and Availability Group, Deepak Mohan announced that Symantec is now delivering fail over capabilities for VMware. Further sessions featured Spanish customer SESCAM and Symantec partners, RedHat, Fujitsu and VMware discussing industry trends with Symantec executives. As the keynotes progressed, CJ Desai, SVP of the Information Management Group launched the next generation of Symantec appliances for BackupExec and NetBackup during his appearance here at Vision. To wrap up the information-centric convergence discussion, Brian Dye and Chris Hurst addressed Symantec's Information Governance strategy in a mobile world.
Thursday will close out Vision with the Grand Prix VIP Trip drawing, and the not to be missed keynote from internationally recognised Dr. Michio Kaku, a visionary and futurist who will enlighten us on his goal to complete Einstein's second theory. Don't miss it!
