I am trying to restore only folder NTFS permissions and shares to a list of existing folders that had their permissions and shares blown away by staff. I have tried a few documented methods, both published Symantec documentation and other forum threads on this board, none have seem to work.
method 1) I tried creating a share_restore.txt file populating it with the below information, then executing from netbackup\bin "bprestore -s 11/4/2013 17:00:00 -e 11/4/2013 23:59:00 -f share_restore.txt" and then rebooted. shares did not repopulate.

!D:\directory\share\*
D:\directory\share2\
!D:\directory\share2\*
method 2) I tried running backup, restore, & archive GUI and selecting my full backup date when shares did exist and restoring to original location and just selecting the radio button for do not replace existing files and allowing the job restore to complete and rebooted. fileshares did not repopulate.
any assistance with this would be GREATLY appreciated as there was ~35 shares that DID exist and would be very difficult to recreate all of the shares with the share and NTFS permissions.
