I have the product Altiris eXpress Deployment v6.9 SP5, running on server 2003 R2 SP2 with WAIK (WinPE 2.1) installed.
This has been working for us for a while now with no issues, deploying server 2008 R2 sp1.
Today it seems that the PXE boot images have disapeared and I am now looking to rebuild these.
I am struggling to find a how to guide on building a new boot image, that goes into enough detail to ensure it all works ok. The image I first built seems to hang on loading drivers, however I have checked that the correct drivers are in the WinPE image so not sure why.
I can see the WinPE 2.1 is on the list when using the boot disk creator but is highlighted red as the WinPE installer is invalid, its pointing to a bootwiz.exe at the moment, however it says that 'the executable file being referenced does not appear to be a valid WinPE add-on installer'.
Any ideas or advice welcomed, thanks.
P.s. I can't upgrade or change the software I am stuck with what I got.
