I need a solution

Hi,

i have 5220 appliance configured as a Master, i have one sparce solaris 10 server which i whant to backup it on the network not FT (FT not configured yet ), both servers can ping each others,

i installed the client SW on Solaris  using NFS client from the appliance as bellow:

To install the NetBackup client software on a UNIX client through an NFS share

1 On the UNIX client computer where you want to install the NetBackup client

software, log on as root.

2 Mount the following NFS share:

<appliance_name>:/inst/client

3 Browse the files within the NFS share directory. Files that are similar to the

following appear:

.packages clientconfig quickinstall.exe

PC_Clnt docs unix-client-install

4 Run the unix-client-install script.

This action installs the NetBackup client software.

5 Add the appliance master server name to the bp.conf file on the client as

follows:

■ On the client, navigate to the following location:

cd /usr/openv/netbackup

■ Enter ls to see the contents of the directory.

■ Open the bp.conf file in a text editor.

i add the appliance name!!

now how i can update the appliance bp.conf file with the new Solaris client??

i try to edit it by log in to Maintenance with P@ssw0rd it did not allow me, is this the correct way to configure the new client??

from NB java console, i try to add the new client but it was saying cannot connect to the client ,

Pleas advice,
