Updating catalog takes too long

Hi Guys,

Really need advice and solution,

We use backup exec 2010R3 SP2 with hotfix 180429, 176937, 191248 and 194471. Today our regular backup has stuck on backing up our MS exchange 2003, BE keeps updating catalog and it has been more than 13 hrs. This issue never been occuring for the last 8 months, does anybody can suggest how to speed up this process ? Cos i dont want to cancel this job.
