Hi all,
I use this forum all the time to get answers to issues I am having setting up a new NetBackup solution but I can't find the answer to this one.
I need to get complete backups of systems running MS SQL, Exchange and Oracle on both Windows and Solaris/Linux.
I can configure the Exchange, SQL and Oracle policies no problem but I also want to backup the file systems.
We had a consultant in who did the initial config of some policies etc on our 5220 appliances and he said that selecting the ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES directive should be OK because the client knew the server was an Oracle/SQL/Exchange server and would avoid backing up the database files etc.
Judging by what a stellar job he did I am lothed to trust this answer.
So the question is... Will the ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES directive do the job for me or should I manually exclude the files in an exclude list?
Any help you can give would be most appreciated
Cheers
