Backup job will not run "No Idle device available"

Installed a new HP Dat 160 to replace a bad tape deck, booted up and BU Exec found the new device and installed it with BU Exec Drivers.  Now the Backup job will not run.  Job status is Ready, No idle devices are available.  When I look at the devices tab it shows the tape deck “HP1 – In use” I have not been able to get the deck out of this mode,  deleted the deck and reinstalled it.  Applied the latest HP firmware.  Any ideas

Server OS is Windows SBS 2011 Standard
Backup exec 12.5 for Windows
