Hello...I am using B. Exec 2012 on WIndows 2008 R2.
I have created multiple jobs that backed up to disk.
Now, I have 1 disk storage folder. But all these jobs have put their .bkf files in the same folder.
I am now looking to create a job to put all those .bkf files (from different jobs) onto tape.
I have done so, but I don't see where to catalog the tapes.
(When you look at the tapes in the media center/storage options that shows you the tapes, there is a "Catalog" icon in the menu choices up top.
But it doesn't seem to do anything. And there is no job that shows up in 'Job History' that says a catalog job has run.
So my question is two-fold.
1. How do I Catalog tapes after they have received a backup job? (And...do I have to select the tapes manually afterwards?)
2. When I am ready to do a restore, how will I know which tape to "pull off the shelf".
